Student Registration & Activity Fee Donation for 2024–25

Please do the following for each of your student musicians! At the beginning of the school year, we ask all band and orchestra families, whether new or returning, to:

  • fill out the registration form below for each of their band/orchestra students so that we can communicate important information to you

  • contribute a minimum activity fee donation in support of the orchestra and band programs, and their students

The requested contribution is $200 per student per year. The school district does not provide funding for music programs beyond the teachers and use of existing instruments. Through the parent support group, Friends of Garfield Music (FOGM), we work to provide access to an excellent music education for all Garfield students, regardless of their level of experience or resources. With your support, the Orchestra and Band program can purchase and repair instruments, provide coaching and group lessons, invite guest artists, purchase original music and technical equipment, and provide scholarships for festival fees & trips. We appreciate any extra donation amount that you may be willing to contribute. Similarly, we understand that this request may be a burden to some. Please contribute what you can. Because FOGM is a non-profit 501(c)(3), contributions are fully tax deductible and can be matched by employer programs.

The information you enter below is used by the Band and Orchestra teachers, as well as by FOGM, the Garfield Orchestras and Band parent support group, to contact students and parents about events and activities throughout the year. Your information will not be shared with any other people or organizations.
